Tips for printing keychains

  • Two colors without an AMS: in your slicer, add a pause or filament change at the layer where the base ends (2 mm with the default settings).
  • Material: PLA is fine for gifts; PETG handles knocks and a hot car better.
  • Infill: 15–20% is plenty; on parts this thin the walls do most of the work.
  • Lots of names: change the text, download, repeat. Your settings stay put between names.

Frequently asked questions

Is the keychain generator free?

Yes. Make and download as many keychains as you like, with no account and no watermarks.

Can I print the keychain in two colors?

Yes. The base and the letters are at different heights: set a filament change in your slicer at the layer where the base ends.

Can I use my own font?

There are five fonts for now. If you need another one, set the text in your design software, convert it to paths and upload the SVG.

Where does the ring go?

Top, left or right. Relieve finds the edge of the part and attaches it automatically; the offset slider moves it along the edge.

Can I add a magnet instead of a ring?

Yes. Use the Holes tool to add a magnet pocket on the underside and turn it into a fridge magnet.
